You may wonder, if I’m promoting vegan foods made from scratch and whole food ingredients, why don’t use use the words “real food”? Well, it is of prime importance to us that those recovering from eating disorders are able to be a part of this community. To someone in recovery, any food might be considered a victory and that means it is all real. In a lot of ways, we all have our troubles with food. From the time we’re small children, food is used as a reward or even punishment and that can mean we develop destructive attitudes towards what we eat. Having struggled for a long time with my own eating disorder, it is my goal to be create a positive and joyful atmosphere surrounding the food that I share with you.
