When discussing my husband’s allergies, people tend to become very defensive about it so we’re learning to try to laugh it off. We’ve also learned to work around them, but it wasn’t an easy process, since he only knew about the nut allergies. Eating has been a hard part of his life, as you might imagine, but I’m so privileged to have been able to help him get to a place where dinner can be a pleasure. A point of reference of anyone wanting to feed him/an answer to why I use so many mushrooms.
